On Veteran’s Day, November 11th, The Headstrong Project in partnership with
CrossFit affiliates across the country, will produce the third annual “Three Wise Men WOD”
tribute as a way to raise funds and awareness for veterans suffering from serious PTSD. On
November 11th, crossfitters across the country will complete one of three workouts – the Special
Forces WOD, the Armed Forces WOD, or the Reservist- depending on their fitness and comfort
level, in a national tribute to the three Wise brothers. This CrossFit event will complete the
month-long fundraising campaign which sought to raise funds for cost-free treatment for
veterans suffering from “the hidden wounds of war.”
Just one of the many campaigns The Headstrong Project produces to fund veteran treatment,
this Veteran’s Day “Three Wise Men WOD” also celebrates the recent merger between
Headstrong and the Three Wise Men Veterans Foundation, a nonprofit founded by Marine
Corps combat veteran Nathan Fletcher in honor of his three cousins: Jeremy, Ben and Beau
Wise, and their unwavering service to our country.
After the September 11, 2001 attacks on our country, Jeremy joined the Navy and became a
Navy SEAL. Ben, already in the Army, became a member of the legendary Green Berets and
Beau followed his brothers and joined the Marine Corps Infantry. Together they served over
1,600 days deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Tragically, Jeremy was killed by a suicide bomber in Afghanistan and two short years and
eleven days later, Ben also lost his life in a firefight in Afghanistan. Beau remains on active duty
in the United States Marine Corps.
Jeremy and Ben represent the generation of veterans who gave that last full measure of
devotion to their country. But Beau Wise represents that generation of veterans who survived
combat, yet still struggle with the many hidden wounds and tragedies of wars- a mission
Headstrong is dedicated to wholeheartedly.
This Veteran’s Day, continuing on the previous success of The Three Wise Men Foundation,
The Headstrong Project will produce “The Three Wise Men WOD” tribute workout in CrossFit
affiliates across the country. For a $25 donation, participants will receive a tribute tshirt and
compete in a grueling crossfit workout consisting of burpees and kettlebell swings galore.

After all, what better way to show tribute to our nation’s heroes than by breaking a little sweat
